This year the Short Mountain Repeater Club will operate Field Day at Long Hunter State Park. We will be setting up at campground #1 near the Park Office. We will have access to picnic tables, a fire pit and restrooms.

NOTICE: Campground 1 (our area) is a tent only area.  No pop-ups, travel trailers or motor-coaches allowed. If someone wants, they can sleep in their car or spread a blanket and sleep under the stars. Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you all there.

We can access the campground at 18:00 CDST Friday night, 27 June 2008. Anyone interested in coming please feel free to bring camping gear, radios and equipment, eating utensils (plates, forks, etc.) plenty of snacks and drinks, and don’t forget your friends! 

Also if you are interested in 2008 Field Say shirts and/or pins, George WC2Z is taking orders for a group order to save on shipping.

Directions

From Nashville, take I-40 East to Mt. Juliet Road, Exit 226-A. Go south (right) 6.2 miles to the main park entrance.

Or, take I-24 east to Old Hickory Boulevard, Exit 62. Go north (left) on SR171 6.4 miles to the main park entrance.
