SMRC wants you as a member! We need your expertise, your friendship, your input and your feedback. In return, we promise to provide the best experience you have had in your Ham-life. We'll keep you informed about the latest technical information through our technical library, and we'll improve your skills via our training information. You'll get the best deals we can offer through the buying power generated through our buying club. We'll keep you informed of events throughout the country and provide opportunities to interface with other Ham Clubs to provide the most connected network of Hams in the country. SMRC also wants to offer a helping hand to our communities by being a part of existing emergency networks and helping to expand their reach through all electronic means. Even though we have a significant reach with the Short Mountain
repeater, our reach is not nation-wide on 2 meters. Fortunately, there
are many more bands available for communication. There are other
technologies available through digital channels such as Echolink, etc.
We are a small club now, but our vision is not. We need a large member
base to accomplish our goals, so you are much more important as one of
our members. If we are to provide cutting edge news, events,
communication and education we need the people that can help us
accomplish these goals.

We would much prefer your membership and we will place more weight
with our members but we are satisfied that when you see our
