Our goal at the Short Mountain Repeater Club is to be a complete resource for anything Ham Radio. That vision extends to the technical aspects of Ham Radio. In our Technical Training section you will find printed materials and articles, audio training lectures, training videos and a user's forum that will help you extend your knowledge and proficiency in Ham Radio. We utilize not only our local experts but leaders in the amateur radio industry from all over the nation.
The information you will find here will be general in nature but for extensive treatment you should go to the member site. Almost every aspect of Ham radio will be treated and if it doesn't show up here, let us know because we don't know about it yet! We cover the basics of how to use a radio up to and including satellite bouncing and packet radio. If you have a particularly "sticky" problem, use our technical forum to find someone that may have just handled the problem you're working on. Do you want more information about antennas and how to build them, this section is for you! Please check out our membership section for details on becoming a member of the SMRC. We are building a net of people and information that is the go-to spot on the Web for all things Ham!
